Dean Hanson age 67 of Hudson, WI died unexpectedly Saturday December 1, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital – Mayo Health Clinic System in Rochester. Dean was born on November 5, 1945 in Owatonna, Minnesota; the son of Kenneth and Elaine (Havlik) Hanson. He was raised in Ellendale, Minnesota where he attended school. He would further his education with a business administration degree. Early in his career, he managed for Woolworth’s Company; then worked in sales with Coats and Clark before starting his own metal fabrication business in the Twin Cities. As a talented singer, he organized a popular music band in the late 70’s, traveling and performing mostly in the Midwest. It was during this time that he developed his signature “Elvis Show”. In the same period, he began building single family residences. Over the years, he evolved into designing and building multi-family dwellings and commercial projects. Hundreds of his buildings exist in Hudson today. His great loves and talents were to design and construct buildings, boating on the St. Croix River, and playing music in his studio with friends and family.
