Deborah Jean Dettman, age 62 of Bloomington, MN, formerly of Hudson, WI, passed away with her children by her side on July 15, 2014 after she bravely fought glioblastoma (brain cancer) for 4 1/2 years. Deborah was born February 11, 1952 in New Richmond, WI, the daughter of Andrew “Speed” and Lorraine (Fagnan) Beseau. She attended St. Anne’s Elementary school and graduated from Somerset High School, the class of 1970. Deborah was united in marriage to Dennis Kinney, that marriage later dissolved, but was blessed with two children, Chris and Michelle. In 1990, Deborah was remarried to Steve Dettman. Deborah worked at Robertson’s Drapery Factory for many years. She also worked at Fortis Financial, now Hartford Life for nearly 28 years.

Most important to Deborah was her family. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She had a real passion for tending to her flower garden. Deborah was a beautiful soul, inside and out. She was witty and had a great sense of humor, always bringing a smile to those around her. She had a kind and gracious heart always caring for others. Deborah was always paying it forward with many acts of kindness which touched the lives of all who knew her. May Deborah’s legacy be an inspiration to others to continue those acts of kindness in her memory.

Deborah will remain in the hearts of her children, Michelle (Ted) Schultz of Bloomington and Chris (Katie) Kinney of Roberts; grandchildren: Kayla and Jessica Kinney, Brooke, Tyson and Luke Schultz; great granddaughter, Brinley Forrest; siblings, Renee (Larry) Reyer and Cherie (Jim) Kobs; 2 nephews, Brent (Amber) Kobs and Jason (Allison) Kobs; 2 great nieces; 2 great nephews; and husband, Steven. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Ronald, Robert, Michael and Edward Beseau; and nephew, Timothy Reyer.

A Memorial Service will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Faith Community Church, 777 Carmichael Rd, Hudson, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. Private interment will take place at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Somerset. Funeral services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson (715) 386-3725.
