Delores Cecelia Heinbuch, of Hammond, WI, passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 88. Delores was born on April 27, 1936, to parents Leonard and Marie Ickler. She grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota and graduated from Stillwater High School. She married the love of her life Herman Heinbuch on April 16, 1955 and together they were blessed with three children Steven, Deborah, and Scott. They moved their family to Hammond, WI were the started renting the farm they would eventually own. Delores worked along side her husband tirelessly on the farm, nurturing the land and her loved ones with equal measure.
She was known for her incredible cooking skills, delighting family and friends with her delicious dishes and baked goods. Delores had a vibrant social spirit and enjoyed shopping and dining out with loved ones. Her devotion to her grandchildren knew no bounds, and they held a special place in her heart. In her younger years, Delores enjoyed bowling and visiting the Minnesota State Fair, creating unforgettable memories.
Delores will remain in the hearts of her children, Steven (Renee) Heinbuch, Deborah (William) Volkert, and Scott (Sandy Brecht) Heinbuch; eight grandchildren, Andrew (Holly) Heinbuch, Karl (Amy) Heinbuch; Victoria Mukasa, William Volkert, Daniel Volkert; Jason (Hannah) Heinbuch, Megan (Derek) Miller, and Jenna Myer; 19 great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Barb) Ickler; sister Carol (Paul) Cernohous; sisters-in-law Alice Heinbuch and Gertrude Steinbruckner; longtime farmhand and friend, Al (Kelly) Lenz; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Herman; parents Leonard and Marie Ickler; nieces Shari Ptacek and Shelly Cernohous; great nephew Nathan Ptacek.
A celebration of Delores’ life will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hammond on Friday, November 15, 2024. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm. Burial will be held at Woodside Cemetery in Rush River Township.
Her service will be livestreamed thought the churches Youtube channel.
Memorials are preferred to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hammond, the Baldwin Care Center or to donors choice.
