Delores Zeilinger

Delores “Dee” Zeilinger, 95, formerly of Baldwin, WI passed away Monday, February 5, 2024 at the  Hudson Hospital.

She was born August 22, 1928 in Baldwin, the daughter of Morris “Bob” and Hulda Geurkink. Dee was married to Johnnie Zeilinger and celebrated more than 50 years together. They were blessed with 4 children.

Dee was devoted to her family and church. She was a homemaker. For many years Dee and Johnnie had a lake home on Balsam Lake. They spent the summer weekends with their children enjoying the summer lake activities. Family get-togethers were often spent playing cards, especially euchre.  Dee loved going to dances and enjoyed traveling, but always missed home. She was an assistant Girl Scout Leader and member of the Catholic Church Guild. As she aged she liked watching Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie; her daughter Kay Callister; son-in-law Dave Neiber, daughter-in-law Patti Zeilinger; and brother Stan Geurkink.

She is survived by her children Gloria Neiber, Bonnie (Gary) Strehlo, Tim (Jackie) Zeilinger; son-in-law Rich Callister; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation 10-11 AM Friday February 9 followed by  11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1265 Ridgeway Street, Hammond, WI 54015. . Burial in church cemetery. Memorials of your choice preferred.
