Dennis Nordstrand

Dennis Nordstrand, age 89 of Hudson passed away on March 25, 2025.

Dennis led a life rich in purpose and commitment, beginning as a farm boy on a small dairy farm in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. His remarkable journey brought him to serve as the Owner of Yellow River Supply and Chief Financial Officer at American Hoist & Derrick, a Fortune 500 company, exemplifying his dedication to excellence and leadership. Dennis also held the position of President of the Village of North Hudson, where he was known for his unwavering dedication to public service.

A man of many passions, Dennis enjoyed golfing, skiing, jogging, and boating, and he was an avid supporter of the Green Bay Packers. His zest for life took him to beautiful destinations including Hawaii, Florida, and Colorado. He especially cherished spending the 4th of July with family in Brainerd, creating memories filled with laughter and love.

Dennis was recognized for his uncanny memory and warm smile. He lived life on his own terms, striving for excellence. He was known for integrating personal responsibility and faith in God into his daily endeavors.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Carol; his children Scott Nordstrand (Claire Sobon); Barry (Carmen) Nordstrand, Kathryn (George) Moothedan, Kristin (Kraig) Klund; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother Burt (Yvonne) Nordstrand, sister Gail Nordstrand Dahlstrom.

He was preceded in death by his son Bradley; baby brother Kenneth Nordstrand; brother Ron (Mary Jo) Nordstrand; sister-in-law Mary Jo Nordstrand; brother-in-law Donald Dahlstrom.

Visitation 4:30-6:30 PM Sunday March 30 at O’Connell Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St. Hudson. Visitation 10-11 AM Monday March 31 with 11 AM Memorial S at First Presbyterian Church, 6201 Osgood Ave. N. Stillwater.
