Dennis Daniel O’Brien, age 83, of Beldenville, WI, passed away July 6, 2021 at the Ellsworth Health Services.  Dennis was born August 1, 1937 in St. Paul, MN to John and Josephine (Olsen) O’Brien.  He graduated from Henry Sibley High School, with the Class of 1955.  On June 2, 1956, Dennis was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Nutzmann.  Their marriage was blessed with five children, Dennis, Michelle, Cindy, John and Daniel, and 65 years of devotion.  Dennis worked many years as an Analyst for 3M Company.

Outside of his work, Dennis had a great interest in history and enjoyed reading.  He took great pride and was meticulous in maintaining his lawn and cutting wood.  Dennis cherished his time with his family and loved every minute spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Dennis and Pat were blessed to have great memories of camping travels in their trailer with friends and family, and trips to Ireland with their family.

Dennis will remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Pat; children, Dennis (Becki) O’Brien, Michelle (Randy) Swenson, Cindy (Bill) Schmidt and John O’Brien; grandchildren:  Shannon O’Brien, Patrick O’Brien, Matt Swenson, Christopher Swenson, Emily (Sara) Schmidt-Kost, Erin O’Brien, Thomas O’Brien, Tommi O’Brien and Keith O’Brien; great-grandchildren: Lilly, Maddox, Lukas, McKenzie, Chandler, Braelynn, and Jack; along with many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel; grandsons, Sean O’Brien and Jack Schmidt; brothers, Jack and Tom O’Brien; and his parents, John and Josephine O’Brien.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2021 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 231 Woodworth St., Ellsworth, WI, with Fr. David Olson officiating.  A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place one hour prior to Mass at the church.  Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.  Urn bearers assisting with the services will be:  Patrick O’Brien, Matt Swenson, Christopher Swenson, Tommi O’Brien, Emily Schmidt-Kost and Tom O’Brien.
