Diane Annette Trapp, age 74, of Hudson, passed away on January 7, 2019 at the Park View Home in Woodville. She was born February 22, 1944 in Stillwater, MN, to Leonard and Olive (Haugen) Trapp. Diane grew up in Hudson, and graduated from Hudson High School in 1962. She earned an Associates Degree from Waldorf College in Forest City, IA , before attending the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point where she received a Bachelors Degree in Music with an emphasis in Voice and Piano. For many years, Diane taught music education classes for grade levels K-8 at the Cumberland Elementary School in Cumberland, WI. She was blessed with an angelic singing voice, and sang for many weddings, funerals, and other community events.

Diane is survived by her sisters, Donnie Brande, and Debby (Terry) Bauer; brother, Patrick Brande; nieces and nephew, Danya (Jesse) Zimbauer, Brandon (Wendy) Bauer, and Lia (John) Klatt; 8 grand-nieces and nephews; aunt, Lila Chiconis; and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Trapp and Olive Brande.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 12:00 p.m., Noon, on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. A luncheon will be held following the service. Interment at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.
