Diane Mulhollam age 62 of Roberts was rewarded for her earthly life Friday June 21st 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Diane was born on December 15, 1955 in Hudson Wisconsin; the daughter of Leon and Marilyn (Hawkins) Delander. She was raised in River Falls attending elementary school prior to graduating from the River Falls High School. On December 7, 1974 she would be united in marriage to her best friend Thomas Mulhollam at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in River Falls. This union would be further blessed with four children; Tami, Shelly, Chad, and Cory. For 42 years, Diane worked in the insurance industry as an underwriter. She worked many years for Minnesota Life which would later become Securian in St Paul, MN. She served as an underwriter and most recently as an Underwriting Team Leader in a supervisory role prior to her early retirement due to health reasons.
For those that knew Diane they knew her greatest passion was her family. Nothing gave her greater happiness than a house full of kids, grandkids, siblings, and her nieces and nephews. She thoroughly loved spending time on Big McKenzie Lake at the cabin in Spooner, WI. Pontoon rides, tubing, celebrating the holidays, and her well-known scavenger hunts made trips to the cabin most eventful. She always looked forward to Wednesdays as that was “Grandma Day” which usually meant going somewhere fun for the day and to eat. One of her more memorable trips was taking her entire family of 17 to Disney World. She relished time spent with friends shopping for clothes she couldn’t live without or décor she thought would be cute at home. Diane loved life. Her quest for others happiness and her own positivity will be forever missed. When she was diagnosed with cancer, she did not let that define her life. She said she would never have traded off the cancer as it gave her a better appreciation of her life, family, and friends. She lived by example.
Diane will forever live in the hearts of her husband Tom; children Tami (Jon) Longsdorf of River Falls, Shelly (Aaron) Clay of River Falls, Chad (Paula) Mulhollam of River Falls, Cory (Erin) Mulhollam of New Richmond; 8 grandchildren Miles, Madisyn, Gavin, Jonas, Clara, Harper, Declan, Mason; siblings Mike (Barb) Delander, Matt (Rebecca) Delander, Mark (Laurie) Delander, Pat (Debbie) Delander, Nancy (Russ) Schultz, Barbie (Jay) Newton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
