It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dick Allen Foust, 77, of Hudson, who left us suddenly following a lengthy illness on December 14, 2024, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
Dick had a zest for life that was undeniably contagious. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting—including bow hunting—and had a special place in his heart for fishing and ice fishing. Those who knew him will fondly remember the countless stories of his adventures in the woods, fields and on the lakes. Whether it was going through the ice or recounting his many escapades, he always had a tale that brought a smile and laughter to those around him.

Dick was a loyal fan of Wisconsin sports, passionately supporting the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, and Bucks. No matter the occasion, you could always find him sneaking a peek at the game score. Family gatherings were filled with his enthusiasm for sport, and he cheered on his children, nieces, and nephews in all their various athletic endeavors, coaching his kids with pride and dedication.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Brenda Foust, his children Matthew (Stephanie) Foust, Mandy, Donnie; grandchildren Ben & Savannah; brothers Steve (Cathy), Dan (Karen), Tom (Lauren), Joel (Jennie), sister Sue (Greg) Niesen; brother-in-law John Fenn; many nieces & nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents Floyd & Betty; his grandson Dawson James; mother-in-law Edna Fenn; and sister-in-law Linda Dulon.

Visitation will be 4-7 PM Wednesday 12/18 at O’Connell Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St. Hudson and 10-11 AM Thursday 12/19 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1205 6th St. Hudson. Funeral Service will be 11 AM Thursday at Trinity with burial at Willow River Cemetery. Please join us in celebrating Dick’s love of Wisconsin sports by wearing your favorite team colors.
