Donald D. Eggers, age 94, of Prescott, WI passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at his residence on Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was born on July 5, 1922 in Otis, CO to William and Lillian (Gee) Eggers. He graduated from high school in 1940. Donald served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1947. On October 7, 1950 he was united in marriage to Donna Taplin. Don worked for 3M in the Sign Shop for over 30 years.

Donald was active in many organizations throughout his life. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, also a member of the Scottish Rights and the Eastern Star. Don was a member of Prescott American Legion Post 61 and also a member of the Forty and Eight. He was a member of the Prescott VFW Post 9060. He was an active leader of both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for many years starting in 1949.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillian; beloved wife, Donna; brothers, Wayne, Danny, Billy; sister, LaVaughn Fasbender.

Donald is survived by his loving children, Dallas (Debra) Eggers, Darrel (Colleen) Eggers, Deborah (Michael) Hunter, Duane Eggers, Dorie (John) Kessler, Deanna Hansen; his grandchildren, Danitra Eggers, Dallas Eggers Jr., Genna (Mat) Palan, Emily Eggers, Leah (Isaac) Martin, Hillary Hunter, Lydia Kessler, Kristina Hansen, Amanda Hansen; great-granddaughters, Vera and Selma Martin & Ellye and Kenlye Palan; one sister, Betty Bohmbach; sisters-in-law, Phyllis and Norma Taplin; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Prescott United Church of Christ in Prescott, WI. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 PM also at the church. At 1:30 PM, prior to the starting of the visitation, there will be a Masonic and Eastern Star service. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery, Prescott, WI.
