Donald Heller

Donald Ray Heller, age 78 of River Falls, went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2012 at the Christian Community Home of Hudson. Donald was born May 24, 1933 in Dunn County, WI; the son of Edward and Mabel (Pippenger) Heller. He was united in marriage on June 13, 1955 to Sylvia Jean Amick. Their marriage was blessed with five children: Carol, Richard, James, Lisa and Kerry. Donald worked many years and retired from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls college farm.

Donald was a simple man and a hard worker, devoted to his family and his faith. His faith was strong and each day you would find him reading his bible and daily devotions. He was interested in looking at maps and plot books, learning about cars and reading the River Falls Journal newspaper.

Donald will remain in the hearts of his beloved wife, Sylvia; his children, Richard (Jackie) Heller of Prescott, James Heller of River Falls, Lisa (Adam Lovell) Easland of German Town and Kerri (Rhajimas) Holmes of New Richmond; grandchildren, Jennifer (Keith) Gunderson, Jason Heller, Alisha (Joseph) Greer, Jacob Lovell and Brittany Hudson; brothers, Howard Heller, Billy Joyner, Bobby Easland and Orville Easland. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Jean Heller.

Visitation will take place 5:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson and one hour prior to the service at church Thursday. A Funeral Service will take place 11:00 AM Thursday, April 5, 2012 at River Falls Assembly of God Church, 605 Valleyview Dr., with Reverend Mike Bechtold officiating. Interment will take place at Irving Creek Cemetery in Menomonie. Funeral services have been entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson (715) 386-3725. www.oconnellfuneralhomes.com
