Donna Kay Hadley, a beloved wife, mother, and grandma, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, at the age of 76. Born in Springfield, IL on August 6, 1947, to parents Keith and Dorothy (Grant) Blair. She graduated from Lanphier High School with the class of 1965 and went on to work as an Account Specialist at IBM. Donna was blessed with two daughters prior to marrying Wayne Hadley on December 31, 1982, with their marriage, Donna welcomed 3 stepchildren. They shared 41 wonderful years together.
Donna retired from IBM after 20+ dedicated years. After retiring, Donna and Wayne traveled to Hawaii and made numerous trips on their Honda Goldwing. Donna loved watching the Green Bay Packers, especially Aaron Rodgers. She also loved to attend country music concerts. Blake Shelton and Alan Jackson were her favorites.
Known for her warm and welcoming spirit, Donna loved to host home parties and exploring the aisles of her favorite shops. Her joy truly shone through in the countless photos she took with her family and friends, capturing life’s precious moments. Donna’s affection for her furry companions was evident in her adoration for her cats, who held a special place in her heart.
Donna will remain in the hearts of her husband Wayne; children Kelly (Jim) Standish and their children Taylor and Brendon West and Matt and Evan Standish; Kristy Verhaest and her children Benjamin and Julia Verhaest; Susan Schmaedeke; Scott (Michele) Hadley; Shelly Langenfeld and her children Erik and Leo Langenfeld; great granddaughters Jax West and Maeve Standish; Brother Keith Blair and brother-in-law Bob Brown, as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved greatly.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Janet L. Brown.
Per Donna’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Please honor and keep her memory alive in your own ways. Love you, Mom!
