Donna Mae Rayment, age 82 of Baldwin WI, died on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at her home, surrounded by the love of her children. Donna was born January 31, 1934 in Saint Paul MN to parents Robert Donald and Evelyn Margaret (nee Meisser) Pfeifer. Donna attended school in Saint Paul, and graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1952. Donna would be united in marriage to Thomas John Schaefer on June 11, 1955. Sadly, he would pass on January 19, 1978. Donna would later remarry to David Rayment on April 27, 1982. David preceded her in death on October 31, 2013.
Donna was a hard worker who dedicated years as an Administrative Assistant with the 3M Corporation in St. Paul. Outside of work, Donna enjoyed flower gardening, reading, going to the library, and cooking for her family. She will be especially remembered for her signature baked beans. Donna always enjoyed supporting local artists and crafters, and particularly enjoyed the Fall and Christmas Craft Sales. Adventures with Donna usually revolved around driving the back roads, finding unique shops, the annual 80 mile garage sale, motorcycle trips with David, and going for lunch. Donna gave of herself and touched the lives of many as a volunteer with Adoray at their Treasures of the Heart store. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Donna is survived by her children, Cathy Williams, Erica (Robin Kinney) Rogers, Rob (Judy) Schaefer, and Van (Libby) Rayment; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many friends. Donna was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Schaefer; her first husband, Thomas John Schaefer; her second husband, David Rayment; and her parents.
A Memorial Service honoring the life of Donna Rayment will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street in Baldwin WI, with Rev. Derek Washington officiating. A gathering of family and friends will then follow from 1:30pm until 3:00pm. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorials are preferred to Adoray Hospice. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin WI. 715-684-3434
