Dwayne L. “Denny” Ash, age 87 of New Richmond, formerly of Balsam Lake, WI, passed away March 29, 2015 at his home. Dwayne was born April 1, 1927 in Roberts, WI, the son of William and Margaret (Boumeester) Ash. He was united in marriage to Rose Marie Sieracki on August 18, 2001. Dwayne worked his lifetime as a truck driver for Steneman Concrete, retiring in 1992.
In his earlier years, Dwayne enjoyed bowling league and was an avid sports fan. He especially delighted in cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Brewers and Packers at games. He appreciated the outdoors, and took pleasure in hunting, fishing and the peacefulness of watching wildlife around him. He was well entertained with playing cards, tinkering with puzzles, and watching golf on television. He was fond of antiques, and enjoyed shopping at auctions.
Dwayne will remain in the hearts of his constant companion, his cat, Tiger; sister, Beverly Medes of Hammond; his step children: Mark (Lisa) Sieracki of Peach Tree City, GA, Tim Sieracki of Baldwin, Dawn (Gene) LaMere of Amery, Cheryl Weeks (Mark) of Red Wing, MN, Scott (Beth) Sieracki of Spring Valley and Brian (Mindy) Sieracki of Minong; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Charlotte (Roger) Kattreh; nieces, Judy, Betsy, Teri and Jayne; nephews, Steve, Marvin and William.
In addition to his parents, Dwayne was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie; granddaughter, Katie Weeks; twin grandchildren, Jamie & Jonathan Sieracki; brother, Marvin Ash; brother and sister-in-law, Ed & Bernice Ash; brother-in-law, Cliff Medes; and nephew, Jim Ash.
Funeral Services will take place 11:00 AM Friday, April 3, 2015 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin with Pastor Arveda “Freddie” Kirk officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. A reception will immediately follow the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Hammond Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Lakeview Hospice.
