Dylan James Dreher, age 22 of Hudson WI, died on Sunday, October 5, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident.

Dylan was born July 15, 1992 in Edina MN to parents James E. and Penny M (Anderson) Dreher. Dylan grew up and attended school in Hudson, where he graduated from Hudson High School with the Class of 2011.

Growing up, Dylan enjoyed life with a zest. His many interests included dirt biking, hockey, golf, and snowboarding. Besides taking classes at Century College and UW River Falls, Dylan was working as a mechanic with Midwest Motorwerks in Hudson. He had wisdom beyond his age, and was smart with a mechanical understanding of how things worked. From a young age, he showed an aptitude for breaking things down, understanding how they worked, and how to put them all back together. This aptitude fit well with his love of cars, especially for Volkswagen. Dylan also loved to put a smile on the face of others, and spend time with his dog, Roxy. He had a gentle heart paired with a great sense of humor. His wit was sharp and his character entertaining. He provided much joy and amusement to all he met and those he loved dearly, especially when he was joking with his mom. It’s those special things that made Dylan so loved. He will be missed by many.

Dylan is survived by his parents, Jim (Penny) Dreher of Hudson; brother, Austin; sister, Kayla; grandparents Bob (Lois) Dreher of Oakdale; Marvin (June) Anderson of Maplewood; his beloved Black Lab, Roxy; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services for Dylan Dreher will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1205 Sixth Street in Hudson, with Pastor Tim Booth officiating. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to services at the church, and also from 4:00-8:00pm on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 11th Street S. in Hudson WI. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
