Earl Eugene Hanson, age 83, of Hudson, WI passed away on June 17, 2012 at the Christian Community Home.

Earl was born on November 29, 1928 to Harold and Alice (Loken) Hanson in River Falls, WI. On August 9, 1958, he married Rita Hallenberger at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hudson, which would be blessed with three children, Pamela, Sandra, and Roxanne.

For many years, he worked at United Refrigeration as a factory worker until its closing. Afterwards, Earl worked at Starrs Bar as a janitor, in which he thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to every time he went. In his earlier years, he also helped paint houses and cut grass in his free time.

He is survived by his three children, Pamela (Wayne) Hauser of North Hudson, WI, Sandra (Richard) Nelson of North Hudson, WI, and Roxanne (Kevin) Johnson of North Hudson; grandchildren, Tanya (Nick) Zempel of North Hudson, WI and Lauren Johnson of North Hudson, WI; along with many extended family.

Earl is preceded in death by his wife, Rita; parents, Harold and Alice; and his seven siblings.

A memorial gathering will be held for Earl on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11a.m. at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Hudson with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Willow River Cemetery.
