Edward Becker

Edward John Becker, age 51 of Hudson, WI, passed away unexpectedly April 3, 2015 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

Ed was born June 7, 1963 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Charles and Naita (Klebesadel) Becker. He graduated from Rio High School, the class of 1981. He furthered his education at Columbia Southern University, obtaining a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He also obtained a Associates degree in criminal justice from Century College in White Bear Lake. Ed was a master carpenter, proudly owning and operating Becker Builders for many years. He most recently was working as a project manager with Towers MRL.

Ed enjoyed the peacefulness of being outdoors, and on the lake fishing. He was a devoted Green Bay Packer fan, who delighted in cheering on his favorite team. His work as a master carpenter was exceptional, as he was able to make anything beautiful. Most important to Ed, was his love for his children. He was an honorable example of a father, who had a gracious heart full of love and dedication for his kids. He was supportive and proud watching his children play sports and the other activities they were involved in. He was also a very devoted partner to the love of his life, Janice.

Ed will remain in the hearts of his best friend and love, Janice; his children: Christopher (Meredith Blackwood) Becker, Sarah (James Matthews) Becker, Nick Becker, McKenna Becker and stepson Dayton Rider; his mother and step father, Naita and Jim Overton; his brother, Craig (Pam) Becker; and step-brother, Blair (Joelle) Overton. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 4:00-7:00pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th Street in Hudson. Funeral services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson (715) 386-3725
