Edward Kelley

Edward Kelley passed peacefully on January 8, 2012  He was born on June 21, 1930 in St. Paul, MN. He graduated in 1948 from Mechanics Arts High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Army where he served 3 years and was Honorable Discharged as Sgt. Headquarters Company, 47th Infantry division in 1953. He married his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Sisterman on May 22, 1954 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage.

Edward retired from Burlington Northern Rail Road in 1985, after 37 years of employment. After retiring from the railroad he co-founded Kelley Galleries with his son, Don Kelley, in 1985. While working at the gallery he found his love and passion for working with people. Ed loved joining his children and grandchildren in his pool, yard work with his wife, living a healthy life, and most of all, his family. He touched the lives of many people in our community and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Kelley; children: Tom Kelley, Rick Kelley, Don and Sue Kelley, Jean Kelley, Al and Barb (Kelley) McNamee, Bob and Jen Kelley. He had 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grand children; and siblings: George Kelley and Bonnie Dupre.  He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Molly Kelley of St. Paul, siblings; Bob Kelley, Lucille Conrad and William Kelley. 

A funeral mass for Edward will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, January 10 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson.  A visitation will be held from 10:00AM-2:00PM, all at the church.  Burial times will be announced and will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.  715-386-3725
