Edward Roy Rang, 88 of Hudson WI died September 26, 2016 after a short illness.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, the son of Edward and Della Rang.  Ed earned his PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Minnesota, worked as an engineer at Honeywell and taught at the University of Minnesota.  He went on to become a professor at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, serving for a period of time as the Chairman of the Mathematics Department.   He enjoyed flying small planes and traveling the world.

Edward is survived by his wife Sharon M. Hansen, daughter Ellen (Rang) Schnur (Jim), son David Rang, and grandsons Jake and Mike Schnur.

Private services were held.  Memorials preferred to the ACLU sent to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 South 11th Street, Hudson, WI  54016.
