Eileen Adams

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and daughter, Eileen Adams (Smith). Eileen, age 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18th, 2023 in Hudson, Wisconsin.

Eileen was born to Marion and Luella Smith on September 23rd, 1952. She grew up in the Blaine, Minnesota area with her 7 siblings.

Eileen was united in marriage to Dean Adams in July of 1969. During their years together they were blessed with three children: Donald, Daniel and Matthew. Their marriage eventually dissolved but their friendship and love for each other remained. This friendship and love blossomed into living together as roommates and partners that cared for each other up until her passing.

Eileen worked at Honeywell for many years before health issues cut her time there short. After that she worked numerous part time jobs including owning a small consignment shop in Columbia Heights.

Eileen loved reading, trivia, playing cards, singing and above all spending time with her family. She embraced being a grandmother making time for all of her grandchildren as often as she could. She will be remembered for her humor, quick wit and caring nature.

Eileen remains in the hearts of her three sons, Donald Adams, Daniel (Carol) Adams, Matthew (Michelle) Adams; her six grandchildren, Angela (Tom) Newman, Julie Adams, Anastasia Adams, Justin Adams, Madelyn Adams and Aiden Adams; her siblings, Jeff (Linda) Smith, Carol (Jeff) Lapka, Barb Smith, Mark (Kelly) Smith, Heidi Carlson; Her mother Luella Smith

She is preceded in death by her younger brother Bryan Smith, baby sister Kimberly Smith and father, Marion Smith.

A gathering to celebrate Eileen’s life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for their amazing in-home care they provided and O’Connell Funeral Home for services provided.
