Elaine E. Huber, 94, of Prescott, WI died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Prescott Nursing and Rehab. Community .
Elaine was born, along with her twin brother Harvey, on October 2, 1921 at home in the town of Oak Grove. She was the daughter of Alfred and Caroline (Kuss) Meier. She met Lorin Huber in 1939 and they later married on June 20, 1940 at St. John’s UCC. They resided in Milwaukee when Lorin entered the U.S. Navy. While Lorin was in the Navy she moved to River Falls to be close to family, where she worked at the overall factory. After Lorin’s discharge in 1945 they moved to a farm in the town of Oak Grove where they raised their family.
Elaine had the innate talent of playing the piano by ear. She would hear a song, sit down at the piano, play a few notes, and a few more and before long she could play the entire song flawlessly. Elaine loved dressing up her girls for Prescott Children’s Day and making doll buggies for the doll parade, winning first prize for many of the parades.
Through-out the years on the farm she loved growing flowers and raising vegetables in her garden, while having the grandkids over for many loving and fun-filled sleepovers.
Elaine was an active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and throughout the years taught Sunday School and Bible School. She was also active in 4H and the Costelloe-Madsen American Legion Post Auxiliary, Prescott.
Elaine is survived by her children: Tom (Ginny) Huber, Hager City, WI; Mary Bolin, Prescott, WI; Debbie Nelson, and Patty (Dave) Perrier, both of Hastings, MN.
Nine grandchildren: Trent (Michelle) Huber, Tessa (Wes) Villegas, Justin (Marisa) Bolin, Jaclyn (Eric) Bechel, Jamie (Sarah) Nelson, Ross (Laura) Nelson, Mick (Shannon) Nelson, Alison (Shawn) Perrier, and Stephen Perrier.
15 great-grandchildren& two great-great-grandchildren.

Elaine is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and former son-in-law Randy Nelson.
Preceding her in death was her husband Lorin in 2006, parents, Alfred and Caroline, son-in-law David Bolin, brothers Harvey and Stanley Meier, sister’s in-law Geraldine and Helen Meier and brother’s in-law Stanley and DeWayne Huber.
Funeral services for Elaine will be at 2:00pm, Thursday, October 15, 2015 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Oak Grove Twp, rural Prescott, WI. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Wednesday, 10/14 at the Hill Funeral Home, Prescott, WI and for one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Thursday.
