Elaine Mae (Deters) Davey, age 71 of River Falls, Wisconsin, died peacefully May 5, 2016 at the United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Elaine was born on May 25, 1944 in Aplington, Iowa to Richard H. and Elizabeth F. (Mehmen) Deters. In 1962, she graduated from Alden Community High School in Alden, Iowa. For a majority of her career Elaine worked as an analyst for several brokerage firms including R.G. Dickinson & Co., and Wells Fargo. She was delighted when she discovered a fascinating fact about an ancestor. Elaine kept her home neat and tidy, but it was full of the treasures she found at garage sales. She was very patriotic, and was truly proud to be an American.

Elaine will remain in the hearts of her children, Linda (Joe) Harris, Marla Vance, Jason Davey, Michael (Meghan Paul-Cook) Davey, and Jared Davey; grandchildren, Kiara Vance, Calvin Harris, Lauren Harris, Audra LundinDavey, and Nathanael Davey; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Elizabeth (Mehmen) Deters; sister, Fran Deters; and brother, Darwin Deters.

A Funeral Service for Elaine will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, May 9 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred. An additional memorial service will be held at a later date in her birth state of Iowa, specific details are not yet available.
