Elaine M. Rineck

Elaine Marlyn Rineck, age 73, of Baldwin, WI, passed away on July 16, 2013 at the Baldwin Care Center following a short battle with cancer.

Elaine was born on September 2, 1939 at Baldwin Hospital to Theodore “Ted” and Evelyn (Peterson) Madsen. She grew up in Hammond and graduated from Hammond High School in 1957. 

Following her graduation, she worked in the Twin Cities, until she was united in marriage on September 5, 1964 to Arnold L. Rineck. Their marriage would be blessed with four children: Pamela, Ronald, Jill, and Nancy.

Elaine was a family person, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, and her coworkers at the clinic. She loved playing card games, was a part of a bowling league, and doing her TV guide crosswords. She was a dog lover, and loved eating at Shelly’s Northside Cafe in Baldwin. Elaine was a well-liked person, and will be missed by all. 

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Arnold of Baldwin; children: Pamela (Rob) Holden of Wyoming, MN, Ronald (Cyndi) Rineck of Baldwin, WI, Jill (Jeff) Traynor of Balsam Lake, WI, and Nancy (Jeff) Newton of Baldwin, WI; grandchildren: Robbie, Amanda, and Jeremy Holden, Allyson and Alayna Rineck, Cory, Ty, and Ben Traynor, Owen, Carter, and Sydney Newton; siblings: Joanne (Bob) Larson of Boyceville, WI, Audrey Lloyd, and Jeanne Veenendaal; sister-in-law, June Madsen; along with many nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger Madsen; sister, Mary Rineck; brother-in-laws, Jon Rineck and Lowell Veenendaal; niece, Jodi Rineck. 

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held from 4-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the O’Connell Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin, with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence St., Baldwin. Burial will be at Hammond Cemetery.
