Eldon John Klecker

Eldon John Klecker, 82, of Ellsworth, died Thursday morning, December 3, 2015 at Preferred Senior Living in Ellsworth.

Eldon was born on July 19, 1933 at the Klecker family farm at Kline Coulee, in the town of El Paso, the son of Leon and Regina (Langer) Klecker. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Clayfield. Eldon attended the Fischer School and was a 1951 graduate of Ellsworth High School. Following high school Eldon served in the U.S. Army at Fort Richardson, AK. Eldon worked for Sweeney Brothers Construction, Armour’s Meat Co., South St. Paul and was a 27 year employee of the Pierce County Highway Dept. He also farmed on the side and loved his John Deere Tractors.

He married Arlene (Fiedler) Baggenstoss on July 17, 1976 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Clayfield. Above all Eldon loved spending time with his family.

Eldon was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth, WI.

Eldon is survived by his children: Gerald “Jerry” (Julie) Baggenstoss, Jean (Jim) Baggenstoss-Good, Joyce (Lee) Zenner, Brenda (Christian) Bertram, Betty (Robert) Neuville.

Grandchildren: Nicole (Jasen), Mallorie (Daniel), Clayton, Alexis, Caelee, Payton, Olivia, Connor, Jarod, and Gavin.
Great-grandchildren: Kaiden, Kooper, Kinzleigh, Dominic, Tayler and Quinlynn.

Two sisters and one brother: Elizabeth “Betty” Webster, Mary (Sy) Socha, and Max (Barb) Klecker.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene and parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30a.m., Monday, 12/7/2015, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8pm at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth and for one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Monday.
