Elise “Gigi” Hoff Waller

Elise Julieann “Gigi” Hoff Waller, age 50, of Hudson, passed away at her home on November 3, 2018 after 30 years of dealing with lupus and other auto-immune diseases.

Elise was born April 9, 1968 in Minneapolis, MN. In June of 1968, she became the beloved daughter of Larry and Sharon (McDonough) Hoff. She grew up in Roberts and graduated from St. Croix Central High School in 1986, before continuing her studies at the University of Minnesota. Elise worked various jobs around the area, but loved spending time with her family and taking care of her dogs. She adored her niece and nephew and cherished the memories they made together.

Elise was a very creative person and was fond of painting and creating art. She enjoyed reading books and searching for treasures at antique and thrift stores. Elise had a gift of making people laugh and the ability to make others feel special. She enjoyed the simple things, and through her battle with Lupus, she taught lessons of strength and determination by never giving up and to always remember what was important in life.

Elise will remain in the hearts of her parents, Larry and Sharon Hoff of Roberts; brother, Jeff Hoff and his wife Maggie of Hudson; nephew and niece, Cameron and Chloe Hoff; her beloved dogs, Cordy and Boo; several aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Al Jr. and Anna Hoff, Floyd and Audrey McDonough, and special Grandma Dee; and her siblings, Robert and Lynette.

A Celebration of Elise’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, WI. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
