Elizabeth Jean Carpenter, 76, of Lakeland, Mn, better known as Liz to her loved ones, passed away March 14, 2023 in the care of Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, Mn after nearly a year of battling different illnesses.

Liz was born to Edwin and Mabel (Boyd) Cramblit on September 10, 1946 in Stillwater, Mn. She graduated in 1964 from Mechanic Arts in St. Paul, Mn. She went on to meet the love of her life, Roland Carpenter and they were married on August 14, 1965 in St. Paul, MN. Liz found her calling in membership administration of the labor union at AFSCME Council 6, where she worked for 20+ years, retiring in 2006. Liz had a kind heart and reserved personality. She loved volunteering for organizations such as Meal on Wheels and donating what she could, when she could. She was happy to get out to play bingo with family especially her birthday trips she shared with her daughter. However, family was her main priority, being there to support when she was needed, first raising her daughter Kimberly then helping care for her much adored granddaughter Krystal. Liz had a soft spot for cats and dogs through her whole life. The companionship they gave and unending love they had for her, mirrored the love she had for them.

She will forever remain in the hearts of her husband Roland Carpenter, daughter Kimberly (Merrick) Wee, granddaughter Krystal (Tony) Torntore, great-granddaughters Laila, Sydnee, Peyton, and Morgan Torntore. Plus, her sister, brothers, in-laws, and many more beloved family and friends including her fur babies.
