Elmer Keller

Elmer Albert Keller was born February 9, 1937, and passed away on March 17, 2011 at the age of 74, in Hudson, Wisconsin, after a five month battle with lung cancer.

Elmer Keller was born to Albert and Ida Keller and sisters Eleanora and Esther in a small farmhouse near Halliday, North Dakota. The Keller family relocated to Oregon City, Oregon when Elmer was a child. Upon graduating from Benson Polytechnic High School, Elmer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture at the University of Oregon. While in college Elmer met and married Sylvia Ann Johnson, and had 2 boys, Mark and Aaron. The family moved from Eugene, Oregon to Madison, Wisconsin, and ultimately to Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. Elmer was a faithful husband, father, and provider, practicing architecture. On June 2, 1980 Elmer married Linda Brodd Lemon, and became a father figure to her boys, Peter and Joshua, residing in Shorewood, Wisconsin. Elmer and Linda moved to Sister Bay, Wisconsin after his retirement as Senior Specifications Writer, from Kahler Slater Architects. Elmer and Linda just recently moved to Hudson, Wisconsin. Elmer and Linda remained happily married and in love until his passing.

Elmer was a kind soul, a devoted family man, a thoughtful professional, a loyal friend, a fisherman, and a Green Bay Packer fan. His easy manner and quick humor put all that met him at ease, he could always be counted on to produce a good laugh. His bountiful work ethic carried over to home improvement projects, Elmer was known for his practical imagination and skillful execution while upgrading his homes. Most of all Elmer enjoyed spending time with his lovely wife Linda, they brought out the best in each other.

Elmer is survived by wife Linda Lemon Keller; sons Mark Allan Keller and wife Shannon Renee Kucaj, Aaron Stanley Keller, Peter Allen Lemon and wife Becky Swanson Lemon, Joshua Hill Lemon and fiancé Lori Anne Sandoval; grandsons Samuel Zale Arthur Keller, Dane Michael Richard Keller, and Wyatt Cooper Lemon; sisters Eleanora Ida Wickwire, and Esther Hertha Keller; nephews Gary Wickwire and wife Peggy, and Jim Wickwire and wife Connie; and loyal beast Milo.
