Elna Elizabeth Bryan

Elna Elizabeth (Barnier) Bryan, age 95 of Prescott, WI passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Regina Care Center in Hastings, MN surrounded by her family. She was born on August 5, 1919 to Joseph and Stella (Bourgeois) Barnier in Otsego, MN. Elna was united in marriage to Gerald L. Bryan on April 2, 1941 at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. They had four daughters, Julie, Janet, Mary and Marcia.
Elna loved cooking, gardening, entertaining, making her world famous potato salad and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her church was an integral part of her life. She believed in volunteering and the importance of giving back.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gerald Bryan; 9 brothers; 3 sisters and her parents.
Elna is survived by her sister, Anna DeMars; four daughters, Julie, Janet (Clarke), Mary (David), Marcia; niece, Cathy; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Laura, Amy, Bryan, Brandon, Smith and Sidney; eleven great-grandchildren, Eliza, Gus, Rachel, Jack, Leah, Brady, Brock, Emma, Grace, William and Stella.

Mass of Christian Burial for Elna will be 11:00AM Monday, May 11, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prescott, WI. Visitation will be 3:00-5:00PM on Sunday, May 10th at Hill Funeral Home in Prescott, WI and 1 hour prior to Mass at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to St. Joseph’s School Library in Prescott, WI, 54021.
