Eloise Veenendall

Eloise Veenendall, age 89 and lifelong resident of Baldwin WI, died on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Baldwin Care Center. Eloise was born February 19, 1927 in Baldwin, to parents Alfred and Clara (Torgerson) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Woodside Church. Eloise attended the Hoover School, and graduated from Baldwin High School. On August 4, 1946, she would be united in marriage to Lester James Veenendall. Their union in marriage would be blessed with five children. Lester preceded her in death on July 3, 2004.

Eloise was a dedicated farm wife and a homemaker for her family. Eloise enjoyed gardening, oil painting scenery and mountain pictures, playing bingo, camping, traveling south to Arizona, and spending time with her grandkids. Not only was Eloise a Prayer Warrior, she was kind-hearted and charitable, never hesitating to put others before herself. Her gifts to this world were kind and gentle, and she will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Eloise is survived by her sons, Mike (Suzanne Van Mele) Veenendall, Roger (Debbie) Veenendall, Gerry (Bonnie) Veenendall, and Tim (Bonnie) Veenendall; daughter, Sandra (Don) Siler; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Anderson; and sister-in-law, Gloria Veenendall; as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; great-granddaughter, Hailey Veenendall; siblings, Jean Medes, Alvin Anderson and John Andrew Anderson; and son-in-law, Larry Ferg.

Funeral Services for Eloise Veenendall will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the First Reformed Church of Baldwin, with Pastor Tim Sluiter officiating. Burial will take place at the Baldwin Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church, and also from 4:00-7:00pm on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street in Baldwin. Memorials may be directed to the family, which will then be given to some of Eloise’s favorite charities. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin WI. 715-684-3434
