Emily Ferguson

Emily Elizabeth Ferguson, age 33 of Minneapolis, Minnesota and formerly of Hudson, Wisconsin died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 21st at her residence. Emily was born on November 24, 1986 in Minneapolis, the eldest daughter of Reid and Dawn (Krysiak) Ferguson. She was raised in Hudson where she graduated from Hudson High School in the class of 05’. Most recently, she worked as operations manager for Breathable Baby in the Twin Cities, a distributor of safe sleep products for infants.

Emily was full of life and lit up a room with her smile when she walked in. Her free-spirited attitude was beloved by her family and friends. She lived her life full speed but took time to enjoy the beauty around her. She was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends and spent countless hours with her nieces, and they adored her as Aunt Emmy. She loved to travel and enjoyed an annual trip to Mexico with her cousin Katie and other family members. She made every destination an adventure.  She enjoyed the outdoors and had developed quite an appreciation for learning more about plant life and loved to read.

Emily will live on in the hearts of her parents, Dawn (Larry Boumeester), and Reid (Lisa); sisters, Mollee (Kevin) Hendler, and Betsie (Maria) Ferguson; nieces and nephews, Scarlet, Holland, Aidan, and Charlie; step siblings, Tyler and Vanessa Boumeester, Chelsea Brock, and Breanna Olson; grandparents, Jim and Twyla Bavier, and Carol Ferguson; as well as many special aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Lee Ferguson; and cousin, Karina Bruns.

Funeral service for Emily will be 11AM Wednesday, October 28th at Trinity Lutheran Church, West Campus, 1205 6th Street, Hudson, WI. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 27th from 4pm until 7pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, WI, as well as one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Willow River Cemetery. Masks and social distancing required.
