Emma Michelle DeSmith, 15, was granted her angel wings on the evening of November 15, 2014 at her home in Hudson. In her final days, she was surrounded by many friends and family, which her gentle heart had touched throughout her short, but memorable life.
Emma was born on May 28th, 1999 in Hudson, Wisconsin. She attended North Hudson Elementary School in the Gateway program for 7 years. She was currently a student at the Hudson Middle School.
Emma enjoyed swimming, playing with her favorite toys, going to Brewer games with her family, strolling the malls with mom, and her nightly cuddle with dad before bed. Her smile could melt the hearts of those around her and though she never spoke a word, her voice and thoughts could always be heard. With her courage she leads us to believe that everyday is a blessing.
Emma was preceded in death by her Grandpa Bud DeSmith and Uncle Steve DeSmith.
Emma is survived by her mom and dad, Mike and Dawn DeSmith; brother, Logan Snyder; sister, Laura DeSmith; Grandma Marlys DeSmith, Grandma Sandy Gillis, Grandpa Don Gillis, Uncle Lindy and Aunt Sue Johnson, Uncle Dan and Aunt Julie DeSmith, Uncle Wally and Aunt Deb Graf, Uncle Scott and Aunt Gail Gillis, Aunt Shannon DeSmith, Uncle Jeff Lantis, and Uncle Don Gillis.
