Eric Larson

Eric J. Larson, age 47, of Hudson, WI died tragically on July 27, 2015 in an airplane accident in Polk County, WI. Eric was born on Sept. 5, 1967 to Gerald and Sharen (Stene) Larson in Eau Claire, WI. He attended Hudson Schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School in 1986. Following his graduation he earned a Lineman certificate from Dakota County Technical College. Following in his father, Jerry’s, footsteps he had a long career with NSP/Xcel Energy in Western WI, but most recently in Hudson.

On May 11, 1991, he married the love of his life, Stacey Wolff at Bethel Lutheran Church and they had two beautiful sons, Michael and Matthew. Eric was known as an incredibly hard worker who could fix anything and was quick to lend a helping hand. This was a trait he proudly passed on to both his sons.

Eric had a passion for many things in life – Chevy diesel trucks, his Harley Davidson, snowmobiling, and most of all spending time with family and friends in the shed with an Old Mill Light in hand. Above all else, Eric loved his wife, Stacey, and his sons, Mick and Matt.

He is survived by his wife, Stacey Larson of Hudson, WI; parents, Gerald and Sharen Larson of Hudson, WI; sister, Jody (Charles “Chuck”) Enloe of Hudson, WI; brother, Jeffrey (Pamela) Larson of Hudson, WI; nieces and nephews: Kyle (Autumn) Enloe of Stillwater, MN, Scott Enloe of Hudson, WI, Courtney (fiance, Brandon) Larson of Hudson, Kirsten Larson of Hudson, Samantha Wolff of Somerset, WI, Trevor Wolff of Somerset, WI, and Joey Callahan of Minneapolis, MN; mother-in-law, Peg Wolff of Hudson, WI; and sisters-in-law, Molly (Robert) Callahan of Minneapolis, MN and Lisa (Mike) Sicard of Somerset, WI. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Kent Wolff; and brother-in-law, Craig Wolff.

A Time to Remember the Life of Eric will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson with a prayer service concluding the evening at 8 p.m. Interment at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson. Because the Larson men thought dressing up was highly overrated the family would suggest that the dress code for the service be casual, jeans and a t-shirt. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI.
