Eric Petersen

Eric Allan Petersen, age 43, of Richfield MN, passed away on October 12, 2020 in River Falls, WI. Eric was born on October 11th, 1977 to parents Allan and Peggy. He graduated from Richfield High School and went on to earn his bachelors degree from Metropolitan State University.

After graduation Eric was able to use his degree while doing what he loved, traveling the world. He taught English to many in Thailand, Columbia and China. He also traveled to many parts of South America and Europe.

Eric will be remembered as an intelligent and caring man. Though he had his struggles he had endless love for his family and loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews.  He was an avid reader who loved reading about many topics. He also enjoyed spending time outside on the lake.

He remains in the hearts of his parents Peggy (Mike) Koshenina; sister Jen and brother Andy; step-sisters Kelley and Toni; nieces and nephews Torrance, Hunter, Andrew, Trenton, Kylie, Sydney, Bostin, Ryann, and Elliott; Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Al and his grandparents. A gathering of family and friends will be at his sister Jen’s on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 3pm to 7pm at 6528 Newton Ave S. Richfield, MN. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
