Esther M. Blossom, age 100 of Baldwin WI, died on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Baldwin Care Center. Esther was born November 14, 1912 in Glendive MT to parents Carl and Caroline (Steinbakken) Strand. Esther moved with her family to Baldwin, and graduated from Baldwin High School. She was confirmed on June 5, 1927 at the Woodside Church.

Esther taught Sunday School, and was active in many church circles. She enjoyed bowling and golfing. She was united in marriage to Cecil Boumeester on September 9, 1933. Their union in marriage would be blessed with a son, Donald. Cecil passed on January 6, 1983. Esther would be married to Charles Blossom on July 7, 1984. Charles passed on February 10, 1990.

Esther is survived by her son, Don (Dolores) Boumeester of Amery WI; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, sister Dorothy Trauley, sister-in-law Kelly Strand, as well as many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Boumeester; her second husband, Charles Blossom; her granddaughter, Julie Boumeester Nelson, siblings Hazelle (William) Carroll, Cloyd (Helen) Strand, Thomas (Dorothy) Strand, Lyle Strand, and Arthur Strand.

Memorial Services for Esther Blossom will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence Street in Baldwin WI, with Pastor Carrie Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church as well as 5-7PM Tuesday at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin. Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin WI.
