Esther Marie Keup

Esther Marie Keup passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at The Pillars Hospice facility in Oakdale, Minnesota.
Esther was born on May 13, 1926 in South Range, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harm and Jessie (Hubbard) Koenen. She married Charles Keup on September 14, 1946.
As a young lady, Esther worked in a bakery and developed into a master baker. Her breads, cinnamon rolls and fudge were delicious and always a wonderful highlight at every family gathering.
She loved attending English Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, where she made many friends and actively participated in spiritual and group discussion activities
Esther was a loving, caring mother and provided conscientious day care to many young children over the years. She worked skillfully with young children, providing them with the loving comfort, care and guidance needed in their young lives.

Esther is survived by her children, Thomas and wife Cindy Keup of DeLand, Florida, Cheryl and husband Pat McCardle of River Falls and Sharon, and husband Lynn Melin, of Atlanta, Georgia, brother Frank Koenen, of South Range, Wisconsin and grandchildren, Lori Hetfeld of Woodville, Sarah Keup of Washington D.C., Ryan Melin of Jacksonville, FL, Andrew Melin of Jacksonville, FL. Nick Melin of Phoenix, AZ, Cole McCardle of Hudson, WI. Great grandchildren: Brittany, Mikaela, Braden, Parker and Eva.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie, son Terry, parents Jessie and Harm Koenen and brothers and sisters.

The funeral service for Esther will be at 11:00am, on Monday, 8/8 at English Lutheran Church in Ellsworth. Burial will be at North Valley Cemetery in Milltown, Wisconsin. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Memorials are preferred to English Lutheran Church.
