Esther Zappa, (formally Eleanor Kamish) age 80, passed peacefully into the arms of our heavenly Lord on October 28, 2022 while surrounded by family.

Esther was born on March 18, 1942, in Cumberland, WI to Julian and Esther (Schiffler) Zappa, where she graduated from high school in 1961. Esther was crowned as Cumberland’s very own Ms. Rutabaga in 1962. She later moved to Menomonie where she raised her family.

Esther was blessed with three children, Kari, Bobbie Lyn, and Kyle. Esther was fond of creating incredible art through her love of painting and drawing. She loved to fish, paint, play cards, and most of all spend time with her grandchildren.

Esther will remain in the hearts of her children, Kari and David Skinner, Bobbie and Dennis Morrow, Kyle Kamish and Brenda Dugan; cherished Grandchildren, Jordan and Jacob Bennett, Jessica Morrow, Dustin Kamish, Bradey and wife Kennedy Kamish, and Jillian and husband Luke Beaupre; sisters, Janice Flores, Kathy Zappa, Diane and husband William Barr, and; sister-in-law, Karen Zappa; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Julian and Esther Zappa; and her brothers, Boyd Zappa, Michael and wife Teressa Zappa, and Eugene Zappa and brother-in-law, Julio Flores.

She was a faithful servant of the Lord and enjoyed sharing her strong beliefs and Sunday services and spending time with her wonderful friends at the Kinnic Nursing and Rehab center. A special “Thank You” to the caring staff at the Kinnic who loved our mother.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Esther’s life will be held from 2:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2022 at her daughter’s home, 823 Pine Ridge Terrace, River Falls, WI 54022 on Friday, November 11th 2:30pm to 5:30 pm.
