Eugene James “Jim” Peters age 81 of Hudson, died peacefully Friday August 10 at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN. Jim was born on January 11, 1931 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; the son of Lazarre and Esther (Skat) Peters. He graduated Wauwatosa High School prior to attending Carroll College and University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.   Jim worked many years in sales and marketing; most recently for Floor Coverings and Carpet Manufacturing. On February 3, 1951, he was united in marriage to Harriet Dugan at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Brookfield. This union would be blessed with children; Michael, Patrick, Peggy, Terry, Sean, and Kelly.
Jim loved the outdoors and had a great appreciation for its beauty. He loved the tranquility of a quiet golf course, the morning dew during deer hunting, and the pristine slopes on the ski hills. He was a gifted athlete and was a member of the National Ski Patrol and played semi-pro baseball in Waukesha for Muskego and Calhoun teams. 
Jim will be fondly remembered by his children Col. Michael (Aggie) Peters of Los Lunas, NM, Patrick (Mary Jo) Peters Hudson, Terry Peters of Excelsior, MN, Sean Peters of Hudson, WI, Peggy Peters of Avon, CO, Kelly (Roger) Mitchell of Eagle, CO., fourteen grandchildren, and his brother Tom (Elaine) Peters of Brookfield, WI. Jim is preceded in death by his parents and wife Harriet.
Mass of Christian Burial for Jim will be 11AM Tuesday, August 14 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson.  Burial will be in the Wolf River Cemetery in Langlade, Wisconsin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at St. Pats. Cremation services to be coordinated by Countryside Crematory with funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.
