Evan V. Tjader

Evan Vincent Tjader, 24, of River Falls, WI, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2024, in his hometown. Born on February 11, 2000, to Paul and Valarie (Sprague) Tjader, Evan grew up with a spirit that touched all who knew him.

Evan attended River Falls High School and graduated with the class of 2018. Following high school, he pursued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he nurtured a deep passion for history and dreamed of becoming a teacher. Evan had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen and valued—a gift he had hoped to share in a classroom one day.

A beloved face in the community, Evan was a dedicated employee at Kwik Trip, where he greeted regulars each morning with a warm smile and friendly conversation. His presence brought comfort and familiarity to the many people who looked forward to seeing him as they started their day. His kindness, warmth, and humor left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.

Evan had a generous and caring heart. He was known for his friendly nature, always ready to help anyone in need, and he shared a lighthearted humor that could brighten anyone’s mood. Evan’s love of video games brought him joy and connection with friends, and he adored his loyal companion, Honey Bear, a beloved cat who had been by his side for many years.

At his core, Evan cherished his family deeply, holding them close to his heart. His loved ones will always remember him for his kind soul, his ability to bring laughter, and his genuine love for the people in his life. Though his time was short, Evan’s memory will live on through the many lives he touched.

Evan will remain in the hearts of his parents, Valerie and Paul Tjader; his brothers, Aidan and Ethan; grandparents, Edward and Kathy Sprague of River Falls; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elaine and William Tjader; brother, Logan; and his uncles, Vince Sprague, Pete Tjader, Mike Tjader, and Dennis ‘Barney” Tjader.

A visitation remembering Evan will begin at 2:00pm, Friday, November 15, 2024 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home; 225 S. 3rd St. River Falls, WI 54022; and will continue until the 5:00PM service on Friday. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
