Floyd Walter Munkelwitz, age 78 of Hudson, died peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Christian Community Home. Floyd was born on May 22, 1940 in Stillwater, Minnesota to Walter and Helen (Friedrich) Munkelwitz and was the oldest of five children. After graduating from St. Paul Vocational School, he operated his own trucking business. Floyd was united in marriage to Judith Babbitt on May 6, 1967 and together they had two sons. Floyd loved to spend his time outdoors golfing and fishing. He enjoyed trips to Vegas where he would play his favorite game, blackjack. He was a regular at Not Justa Café where he would have his biscuits and gravy every Saturday with his siblings, who loved him very much. 

 Floyd is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judith; son Michael (Denise); grandchildren Matthew, Christian and Daniel; siblings Dale (Gale), Ralph (Kathy), Carol Koepke and David along with other extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and son Steven.

A service for Floyd will be held at 11AM on Wed, Jan 23, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church – West Campus 1205 6th St. In Hudson. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to the discretion of the family.
