Frances Ann “Pat” Sarnstrom, age 90 of Ellsworth WI, died on Wednesday evening, November 29, 2017 at Preferred Senior Living in Ellsworth. Frances was born on August 24, 1927 in Ellsworth WI, to parents John F. and Alvina R. (Steiner) Wells. She attended school in Ellsworth, and graduated from Ellsworth High School. Frances would be united in marriage to Kenneth Floyd Sarnstrom on January 15, 1945. Their union in marriage would be blessed with nine children, two generations of grandchildren, and over 61 years of love and devotion before Kenny’s passing in 2006.

Frances provided for her family as a homemaker, and was an excellent cook. She loved books, and especially enjoyed reading, and keeping a journal. She also enjoyed crafting, flower gardening, going to garage sales, and adding to her collection of duck items. She had a special place in heart for train rides, from going to Milwaukee as a young girl, to traveling to the East coast. Through the years, Frances loved to go camping with Kenny, all across Wisconsin. Frances had a heart of gold, and will be remembered as a wonderful mom, grandma, sister and friend.

Frances is survived by her children, Jeanne (Danny Hayes) Johnson, Judea (Gary) Myers, Audrey (Doug) Schulte, Kenneth (Judy) Sarnstrom Jr., Arlene (Arnie) Rosener, Betty (Joe) Linder, Daniel (Jan) Sarnstrom, and Ronald (Tracey) Sarnstrom; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Bright; son-in-law, Gary Gilbertson and his wife Carol; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her daughter, Geraldine Gilbertson; and her parents.

Memorial Services celebrating the life of Frances Sarnstrom will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 8th at the Svea Lutheran Church, N2610 770th St, Hager City, WI 54014, with Rev. Dean Lundgren officiating. Visitation will begin 1 hour prior to services at the church. The family wishes to thank all those at Preferred Senior Living for the wonderful care and good cooking provided to Frances during her time there.
