Frank Miller

Frank Carl Miller, age 83 of River Falls, formerly of Lakeland, passed away December 10, 2011 at the Lutheran Home of River Falls.  Frank was born February 8, 1928 in Lakeland, MN to William F. ‘Beany’ and Lucille (Frazier) Miller.  He attended Stillwater High School.  Frank enlisted in the United States Army on November 15, 1945 and proudly served his country until May 13, 1947.  He was united in marriage to Lucille “Lucy” Flattum on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1958 in Bayport, MN.  Frank was an entrepreneur and owned Frankie’s Café and Frankie’s Towing Company in Lakeland.  Frank enjoyed fishing and traveling.  In their later years, Frank and Lucille cherished their time at their winter home in Peoria, Arizona.  He loved spending time by his swimming pool and enjoyed hosting pool parties for his family and friends. 

Frank is survived by sisters, Murle Henningsen of Lakeland and Marjorie Bradshaw of Lakeland; many nieces, nephews and friends.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; his parents; sisters, Mae Hirte and Dorothy Smith; and brother, Laverne Miller.

A Celebration of Frank’s Life will take place 4:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2011 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson.  Burial with full military honors will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeland, MN.
