So sorry for your loss, prayers for you and family. My own health does not allow me to attend any gathering but wanted to let you know thinking of you.
Frank Alan Rorvick, age 83 of Hudson, Wisconsin, formerly of Ellsworth, passed away January 1, 2023 at Comforts of Home in Hudson. Frank was born on April 19, 1939 in Frederic, WI to Lars and Nina (Carlson) Rorvick. He graduated from Luck High School where he was very involved with playing trumpet in the school marching band and local drum and bugle corps. Frank was an accomplished high school athlete and enjoyed downhill and water skiing. He continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. On May 2, 1964, Frank was united in marriage to Linda Lahl in Hudson; and the couple was blessed with three children, Kecia, Grant, and Robert. One of the kids’ favorite memories of growing up was when their father would play the trumpet as loud as he could along to a recording of Chuck Mangione, and upsetting the neighbors. Frank excelled at a career in sales, and was self-employed selling skiing and outdoor equipment. Though his job involved lots of travel, Frank made it a priority to make it to all his children’s school and sporting events, including ski racing, figure skating, and hockey. As he grew older, Frank enjoyed spending his free time on woodworking projects or on the water in his boat. He was fond of fine foods and good spirits, and was proud of his Norwegian heritage.
Frank will remain in the hearts of his wife of 58 years, Linda; his children, Kecia (Chad) Bleeker, Grant (Larry) Rorvick, and Robert (Krystin) Rorvick; grandchildren, Charlie, Mason, Mallory, Gavin, Natalie, Alix, and Samuel; great-grandchildren, Mia, Declan, Oaklen, and Asher; brothers, John (Spark) Rorvick, and Jim (Jane) Rorvick; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Rorvick; niece, Renee Rorvick; and sister-in-law, Barbara Karsky.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. along the St. Croix River in Hudson at Lakefront Beach. Memorials and cards for the family can be made out to Kecia Bleeker to be mailed to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, WI 54016, to be forwarded.
So sorry for your loss, prayers for you and family. My own health does not allow me to attend any gathering but wanted to let you know thinking of you.
