Frederick C. Kuebker

Frederick Charles Kuebker, age 96, of Roberts, WI, died on Sunday evening, September 30, 2018, at the Christian Community Home in Hudson, WI.

Fred was born on June 30, 1922, in Grayslake, IL, to parents Charles and Alma Kuebker.  Fred graduated from Libertyville High School in Libertyville, IL.  Fred married Helen Seng on October 22, 1947, in Grayslake, IL.  Fred and Helen lived on a dairy farm in Twin Lakes, WI, where they raised their three children, Nancy, Patty, and Rick. While farming, Fred also served on the local school board and was an active member of the Farm Bureau. During the school year he drove school bus between milking.

Fred and Helen moved to Roberts in 1979 to be near their children and grandchildren.  He worked in the Roberts Lumberyard and then in hardware stores where his farm experience made him a valuable jack-of-all-trades.  In recent years Fred was active in the ADRC to share his experiences as a caregiver and provided transportation for folks in need.  Fred was an active member of the United Church of Christ, the Farm Bureau, and the Roberts Lions Club.

Fred is survived by his children; Patty Johnson of Roberts, Richard (Rosemarie) Kuebker of Hammond, and Nancy (Daniel) Gavin of Hudson; grandchildren James Gavin, Kealy (Steve) White,  Nick (Julie Bugg) Johnson, Deidre Johnson, Rene’ (Eric) McCord, Ryan Kuebker, Rana Kuebker, Resa (Rob) Meagher; great-grandchildren, Chantelle, Valeri, Kole, Fiona, Aiden, Mason; sister, Charlotte; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen, and brother Louis, son-in-law Al, and grandson Richard Ryan. 

A Memorial Service for Fred Kuebker will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Roberts Congregational United Church of Christ, 1001 Birch Dr., Roberts, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Interment at Warren Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Roberts Lions Club, Hazel Mackin Community Library, or the Roberts Congregational UCC.
