Gary Clemens Zielinski, age 71 of Prescott, died unexpectedly at his home on November 3, 2021. Gary was born to Clemens and Thelma (O’Dell) Zielinski on April 14, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan. When Gary was 17 years old, he joined the United States Army and served two tours in Vietnam. Gary was a computer operations supervisor. He was a dedicated employee working for Unisys for thirty-six years. Gary married Susan Aydlott on April 15, 1995. This union blessed them with one son Erik.

Gary was a passionate outdoorsman. He was right in his element out in the woods. He was an avid hunter and loved going on hunting trips at deer camp in Michigan, which was one of his favorite places. He was a supportive Cub Master and Assistant Scout Master all through his son’s participation in Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts. Gary was very invested in the “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series as well as its HBO TV series “Game of Thrones” with his favorite character being Arya Stark. Gary was a great man with a soft heart that was not afraid of showing his emotions, which many movies and TV shows, proved to bring out. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Gary will remain in the hearts of his loving wife Susan; son Erik; sister Theresa Guillen; father-in-law John D. Aydlott; brother-in-law John W. Aydlott; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Deane Zielinski; parents Clemens and Thelma Zielinski; sister Barbara (Phillip) Bader; brother-in-law Gilbert Guillen; and mother-in-law Betty Aydlott.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm at St. Johns UCC N5496 County Rd QQ, Prescott, WI 54021. A visitation will start one hour prior. Pastor Bill Colby-Newton will officiate. Kinne-Engelhart American Legion Post #204 will present military honors paying respect to his service for our country. Burial will take place at a later date.
