Carolyn- I am so sorry to hear this. Gary was a great friend and co-worker. We had many great talks at work. I am in Texas right now and will not be able to make it to his service. Peace, love and a big hug to you and your family.
Love, Wendy
I didn’t know Gary a long time, I started attending The Heights Church about 7 months ago, but we talked and he shared with me powerful scripture that affected his walk with Jesus in life; this too had a powerful effect on me,but I still feel special and fortunate that he chose to share this scripture with me, I think it’s O.K. to write out here, I hope so. Romans 10:9:
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
He emitted a tremendous warmth and glow and would put anxiousness in others at ease with his deep resounding voice and calm demeanor. I felt more accepted by the church as a new regular attendee. He shared much more and my mind is looking for memories and feelings of the past. His leaving was unexpected for me, I didn’t know; he now is in heaven though sitting at the table with our Lord, our King, Jesus Christ. Joyful and eating and drinking at the feast.
Carolyn: I am so sorry and saddened to see this. Doc, as you know, was a good friend in high school. His leadership and friendship was felt by many in Eureka. He is walking with Jesus right now and we will be with him in eternity soon. God Bless you and his memory!
Caroline sorry for your loss. May God give you comfort.
