Gary Lee Anderson, age 69, of Hudson WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on the evening of March 1st, 2013 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson.

Gary was born on September 13, 1943 in Galesville, WI, the child of Ernest and Irene (Kube) Anderson. He was a Vietnam veteran and spent most of his life on the road as a truck driver, until he had to retire due to health reasons. 

He is survived by his best friend, Carol Sukowatey and her family; brothers, Edward (Merna) Anderson and Allan (Linda) Anderson; nieces and nephews: Ryan (Amanda) Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Christina (Brian) Aspenson, Kayla (Jon) Gilson, and their families; all who meant so much to him through the last journey of his life. He is further survived by his two children, Lamar and Kim; step-children, and other family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; and special step-son, Michael.

A visitation for Gary will be held from 2-5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, with a service starting at 5:30 p.m. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
