Gary Alan Schweizer, age 56 of River Falls, died Sunday, January 17, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at his residence following a battle with cancer.

Gary was born on February 17, 1959 in River Falls, as the youngest child of Douglas and Margaret (Moelter) Schweizer. He grew up in River Falls and graduated from River Falls High School in 1977. In 1983, Gary was united in marriage to Catherine Yunker. The couple was blessed with three children, Jennifer, Nicole, and Jacob. Gary was self-employed as a semi-truck driver and traveled many miles throughout his years.

Gary was hard working and loyal to family and friends. He always made sure to keep his faith in God close to his heart. Gary was very giving of himself and his time. He also liked hunting and spending time fishing at the family cabin.

Gary will remain in the hearts of his beloved wife of 32 years, Cathy; children, Jennifer, Nicole, and Jacob; siblings, Jerry (Carol Jeanne) Schweizer, Carol (Jay) Keim, Diane (Mark) Maloney, Larry (Marty) Schweizer; several nieces and nephews; family, Heather (Eddie) Bashaw; and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson, with a visitation one hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment at the Mann Valley Cemetery in River Falls.
