Gerald “Cuff” William Carlson, a beloved husband, father, and friend passed away on August 19, 2024 at the United Hospital in St.Paul. Cuff was born on November 14, 1956, to parents Robert and Lois Carlson. Cuff’s free spirit and love for adventure defined his life. He worked at County Market in Hudson before his retirement and was known for his passion for riding his Harley and fishing – activities that brought him immense joy.

Cuff married Ruth Ann Larson in 2010 and spent 14 loving years together. Throughout his life, Cuff cherished spending time with his daughter Cheyenne and embraced every moment with enthusiasm.

Cuff will remain in the hearts of his wife Ruth Ann and his daughter Cheyenne as well as many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Lois.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin, WI. Visitation will be from 3-5pm will a service starting at 5pm. Memorials are preferred to the family.

  1. Sorry about the loss of Cuffy. Adventurous is putting mildly. He was his own person and did it his way. He was a good guy though and always will be remembered as one. Fun loving he was. He will be missed. My condolences to RuthAnn and his baby girl. RIP Cuffy

  3. The first time I learned of Cuffy, he was playing Meatloaf (I think it may have been Christmas Eve), we sat on our porch and listened to the music. He helped calm Matt’s nerves a bit about becoming a dad, would come over to watch the fireworks from the driveway and was always willing to help me pick out meat for special occasions at the house. It won’t be the same neighborhood without him! He will definitely be missed!!
