He devoted his life to serving others as a mail carrier, forging connections and friendships within his community while spreading joy with his brilliant sense of humor.
A proud veteran, Gerald served as a cook in the Navy, where he honed not only his culinary skills but also a profound love for family and storytelling. He was known for captivating his loved ones with tales of genealogy and shared laughter over his light-hearted jokes, often playfully teasing those around him.
His genuine warmth and kindness touched the hearts of everyone he met, making him an irreplaceable presence in their lives. Gerald's greatest joy came from his deep and unwavering love for his wife, Sheila Osmer. She will be forever grateful for his companionship.
Gerald is survived by his wife Sheila; step-children Shawn Madin and Shannon Nordin; grandchildren Elodie, Cade, Ole, Odin, and Stella Grace; sister Barb Little; brother Jim Osmer; plus, his much-adored niece, great-nieces and nephew, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Lawerence and Ellen (Payette) Osmer.
