Glenn Radunzel

Glenn Edward Radunzel age 87 of Baldwin died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday March 12th 2011 at the Baldwin Care Center. Glenn was born to Charles and Sena (Anderson) Radunzel at Woodville on March 5th, 1924. He attended Birchdale Country School. Glenn farmed as a young man as his father passed away at an early age. On June 21st, 1945, He was united in marriage to Elaine Bosman. This union was blessed with seven children . They farmed on the Henry Johnson farm north of Woodville. In  1949 they moved northeast of Baldwin where they raised their family and farmed until moving into the Village of Baldwin. Glenn and Elaine worked as custodians for several businesses including First Reformed Church, St. Croix County Offices in Hammond, Baldwin Christian School, Boldt’s Plumbing and Heating, and Donaldson’s prior to full retirement at the age of 80. Thanks to the dedication and care provided by his wife Elaine,  Glenn was able to enjoy  nearly his entire life in his home in Baldwin. 

Throughout his life, Glenn enjoyed music and dancing, fishing, and animals, especially draft horses.  He was an avid fan of WWE wrestling. Nothing brought more joy to Glenn than spending time with family.

Glenn is preceded in death by his son-in-law Paul Burch, siblings Charles, Stanley, Alyce, Doris, and one grandson, Daniel Pribnow. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Elaine, children Roger Radunzel of River Falls, Connie Burch of Hudson, Kent (Jeri) Radunzel of Baldwin, Richard (Shauna) Radunzel of Janesville, Pamela (Gordon) Pribnow of Amery, Lori (Paul) Severson of Zumbrota, MN, Jeffrey (Heidi) Radunzel of Seattle, WA, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and sister-in-law Mrs. Lorraine Radunzel of Chippewa Falls.

Funeral service for Glenn Radunzel will be 11AM Wednesday March 16th at First Reformed Church in Baldwin with Pastor Tim Sluiter officiating. Burial will be in the Baldwin Cemetery with his sons and son-in-laws serving as active casketbearers. Not forgotten, Paul Burch will be in spirit as an honorary casketbearer. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 until 7Pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin as well as one hour prior to the service at church Wednesday morning. Memorials are preferred.
